Lash Extensions - Frequently asked questions
Lash extensions are attached to your natural lashes and will shed naturally as your lashes complete their growth cycle. Maintenance fills are typically recommended every 2–3 weeks to maintain fullness.
When applied correctly and maintained properly, lash extensions should not damage your natural lashes. Proper isolation, weight selection, and aftercare are essential for lash health.
Full sets typically require 1.5–2 hours depending on the desired style and natural lash density. Fills are generally shorter and vary based on retention.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE remove all mascara if you are getting a full set. Removing mascara can take up to 20 minutes of your appointment. Surcharges may apply.
Mascara is not recommended, especially with volume sets, as it can affect retention and cause premature shedding.
We recommend getting a touch up every 2 to 3 weeks. If you wait too long your eyelash extensions will fall out and you will require a full set. Your natural eyelashes fall off every 45 – 60 days due to the natural growth cycle and are naturally replaced with the growth of a new eyelash. Other factors such as exposure to steam or touching your eyes a lot may cause the extensions to fall sooner. A touch up is needed to fill in any lashes that fallen. Touch ups average about 45 minutes.
- Do not use heavy water on lashes for 12 hours. A light mist is fine.
- Avoid hot steam or sauna
- Avoid running water directly on your lashes
- Do not rub your eyes
- NO MASCARA!
- Use oil free eye makeup remover
- Do not perm your lashes
- Do not use a mechanical eyelash curler
- Do not pull on your lashes (this may cause your natural lashes to come out prematurely)
- DO LIE and say they are yours:)
For quality control and lash health, we typically require a new full set if previous work was done elsewhere.
