Upon reading and understanding that you are a candidate for microblading, please use the following link to independently book an appointment. Please note that an appointment is not secure with a booking deposit. In order to secure your date and time, you Book here . to this item.
1. Upon arriving at my studio, I will take your before photos and begin with applying a thick layer of numbing cream. The numbing is to sit on your bare brows for 20-30 minutes. While you wait, you will complete the Consent/Release form.
2. I will map your brows and discuss how your new brows will look on you. We will choose a suitable shade of pigment that closely matches your root color.
3. I never proceed with the session until you approve of the shape and color.
4. And we start the session.
I allocate up to 1.5 hours for the initial treatment as it is quite common to take frequent breaks in between passes. However, on average the session takes about 1.5 hours. The numbing takes up to 30 minutes to absorb through the skin.
The procedure is uncomfortable but not unbearably painful. A strong numbing cream is applied before the procedure and during the procedure to alleviate much of the discomfort. The area may become tender and some experience redness and swelling. Add an answer to this item.
If you are person who has very thin to no brows, microblading can solve a lot of your insecurities. A consent and release form will be sent to you prior to your appointment to ensure you are a candidate.
You are NOT a candidate if you
1) Pregnant and/or nursing
2) Taking blood thinners prescribed by a physician and/or analgesics and Aspirin
3) Have Hepatitis and/or HIV, or you are severely diabetic
If there is a medical concern that may prevent you from getting this service, I may request medical clearance from your physician.
ABSOLUTELY! This is a must. To prevent infection, cross contamination and spread of bacteria, a brand new blade is used on each client. All equipment and tools are sterilized prior to your appointment.
I would strongly discourage you from getting Microblading right before your trip. Exposure to bright and hot sun may cause severe blistering.
You should avoid alcohol consumption 24 hours prior to your session. You should not take any pain relief medications including Ibuprofen and/or acetaminophen prior to your appointment as this thins out the blood and may cause excessive bleeding during the procedure.
It is expected that the pigment from your first session will fade up to 50%. For many, the pigment appears strong even after several weeks depending on how oily the skin is or how often the skin is exposed to moisture. It is strongly recommended that at least 1 touch up session after initial treatment is performed to ensure longevity. After the touch up, the pigment can last anywhere from 1-3 years with proper care. This is just a guideline. Pigment fades in the same manner as hair dye. Exposure to moisture, sunlight and quick cellular turnover will shorten the lifespan of this treatment. Frequent touch ups are recommended.
You can expect the same excretion of blood as you would from a paper cut. However it is not abnormal if you bleed slightly more.
Proper measurements based on eye shape, existing eyebrow hair and balance are taken prior to pigment implantation. Approval from client is required before starting the procedure. The colour of pigment is decided based on client's natural hair colour.
No. Generally speaking however, the younger you are (20-35) the more touch ups you may require as your skin cells turnover more often than someone who is more mature. It is not uncommon for touch ups to occur every 6-9 months.
NO! Microblading creates micro-strokes of hair so that it looks real and natural. Tattoo brows create a solid line with no feathering dimension. Microblading achieves a more desired look.
Immediately after your session, you will love your new eyebrows! Your brows will take 7-10 days to fully heal. They will be super dark for the first week, definitely outside your comfort zone. Be patient. Do not peel off the scabs, the scabs protect the markings I made. Let the scabs fall off naturally. Do not be surprised if some strokes disappear and re-appear. This is normal. Some strokes may disappear completely. Still normal. Everyone heals differently. Your brows during the healing stage may produce non-symmetrical brows again because the skin pulls together to fill in the markings. Hang in there. At 6 weeks, I will make them perfect again!
Your appointment is very important to me. The appointment is reserved especially for you.
I understand that sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary and life can be a little unpredictable. Therefore, I respectfully request that you provide me with at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. Because I reserve a service for you personally, microblading appointments will require a $50 non-refundable deposit in the event of cancellation or no-show without 24 hours’ notice. Add an answer to this item.
In rare occasions this does happen. You have every right not to take the plunge. However, you will be charged $30 for numbing cream if it has been applied to your brows. Your deposit will also be NON-REFUNDABLE.
